Over the next five years, many operators will focus their efforts on clearing and re-farming 2G and spectrum, moving traffic to 3G and/or 4G networks, and shifting valuable resources to newer technologies. Existing 2G voice centric technology cannot deliver customer demanded high-speed data rates like 3G and 4G networks can. This service identifies sites that require harvesting of radios (because of removal of excess capacity). Soft parameter tuning and coverage optimisation optimises the 2G/3G network based on the new spectrum and traffic dimensioning. This service involves changing parameters of several features and reviewing site tilts for coverage optimisation. Using network performance and configuration measurements in conjunction with proprietary algorithms enables soft parameter tuning to improve your network. In addition to Soft parameter tuning, geo-located data measurements enables us to identify hot-spots and coverage holes in the network which is used as an input to optimise your network coverage.
Post-implementation Verification and Analysis
The service verifies that all the changes yield results as per the original objectives based on the available spectrum and site designs. Further analysis is done to identify any other gaps that require further tuning and attention.
