RF ENGINEER I
Job Description:
The job requires understanding of the occupation and the Engineer shall perform routine tasks and will require supervision and receive specific instructions on required tasks and expected results. Responsibilities include linking budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, initial system design and dimensioning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform RF network design, planning and optimisation activities
- Perform link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis
- Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration
- Carry out area and site surveys to identify RF equipment location and antenna orientation
- Analyse equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators
- Perform inter-modulation analysis
- Perform site candidate evaluation
- Verify RF related site engineering drawings
- Perform site build verification and acceptance
Qualifications & Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
- Experience in RF wireless design engineering for a telecommunications system.
- Must have experience in mobile radio propagation aspects through working on one of the following technologies GSM/GPRS, CDMA/1xRTT, UMTS, EVDO or HSPA.
- Must have worked on drive test tools.
- Require travel at short notice and relocation within the USA.
